Try It Out Tuesday #tiot

This week on #TIOT I am looking at the Freedom ProArtist Palette.  The idea is that you can build your own palette with the colours of your choice. The Palette itself is magnetic so you can attach the shadows of your choice. It has a large mirror and feels sturdy with a clip lock.

You can choose from contour, blush, highlights, banana powder and eyeshadow. The eye shadows have a diameter of 3.5cm and have 1.2g of product and the contour and blush shades are 4cm in diameter with 2g of product. You can fit a total of 18 eyeshadows or 8 contour shades in the palette, or you can mix and match.

What I love about this is the fact you can select your own colours.  I don't know about you but I have a plethora of eyeshadow palettes with some beautiful shades in them however I very rarely use all the colours provided.  This way you can build a palette with shades you know you will wear. The blush and contour shades are £3 each and the eyeshadows are £2. The palette itself is £5.

The shades I chose to start with (from left to right) are Matte 04, which is a purple shade, Colour 01 which is a shimmer shade in purple and Colour 05 which is a shimmer pink with a touch of glitter.

The three colours are highly pigmented with good colour payoff and little, if any, fall out. These shades work well together but the colour shades are harder to blend than the matte shades but are not too difficult to work with - if a none professional like me can use them, then so can you.

I chose to go into the crease with Matte 04, I went from my inner corner to just over the centre of my eye with the Colour 05 and then overlapped the pink with Colour 01 to the outer lid.  This is the final look...

As you can see the camera isn't really picking up the pink in the inner corner but trust me in person its there! I finished off with the Urban Decay Razor Sharp Liquid Liner in Retrograde and my usual mascaras Revlon Dramatic Definition followed by Maybelline's Colossal Volume Express.

Another plus of building your own palette is that if you are going away for a weekend or on a holiday you can build a palette with just the colours you will use while you are away cutting down on luggage.

Hope this was helpful and as always if you have any hints, tips or questions feel free to share them in the comments

You can get the palette from the Tam Beauty website,

or find it in store at Superdrug where you can swatch colours.

Happy creating folks xx
